Lobster Season Returns to Turks & Caicos
September 22, 2026 /Few ingredients capture the character of Turks & Caicos quite like its prized spiny lobster.
Available only during a limited season each year, the return of lobster is a much-anticipated tradition across the islands, bringing one of the destinations most celebrated local ingredients back to the table.
Lobster season is shaped as much by its pause as its return. The annual closure gives the lobster population time to mature, supporting a more sustainable approach to harvesting and the long-term health of the fishery.
With the season underway, lobster takes center stage on our menus, with each restaurant bringing its own perspective to this prized local delicacy. Discover some of the ways lobster is being celebrated across Grace Bay Resorts, from classic preparations to creative dishes that put a fresh spin on a seasonal favorite.
At Infiniti Restaurant at Grace Bay Club, the Wood-Fired Turks Island Lobster Tail pairs locally caught lobster with coconut laksa purée, charred broccolini and St. Patrick’s potato, finished with crispy garlic chips, sambal-lime relish and curry leaf oil.
Grace’s Cottage at Point Grace takes a classic approach with its Homard Thermidor, featuring locally sourced lobster paired with Gruyère cheese, mustard and Cognac, alongside fragrant jasmine rice.
For a lighter take, Lua Beach House at South Bank Resort serves Poached Caicos Lobster and Avocado, combining tender lobster with citrus yuzu jelly, orange gel and a bright calamansi dressing.
