With our experienced guides visit 2-3 very different snorkel sites along the barrier reef and/or shallower scattered heads. ‘Manta tow’ snorkel across the reefs behind the boat (aka, Lazy Man Snorkel). Learn the names and behaviors of the local fish and corals as well as safe freediving techniques. A dedicated and true snorkel adventure.
Marine Education & Guided Snorkel Experience
On land, with our marine naturalist, we first discuss the unique geography and geology of the Turks & Caicos Islands as well as the fascinating formation and importance of coral reefs. We then move to the National Marine Park for a briefing on snorkel etiquette, snorkel instruction and a guided underwater tour. Equipped with underwater Fish ID cards, we identify and learn about the fish and coral of the area, spotting turtles, parrotfish and stingrays and explore the most pristine interior coral reefs. 2-3 hours, private bookings only.
Private Request Only
Whale Watching Experience (January –April)
Weather permitting, we take you along the ‘wall’ to look for migrating Humpback whales (fingers crossed!!!) and deeper snorkel sites. We discuss whale watching etiquette and the annual humpback migration to TCI waters. Includes snorkeling when safety and the whales permit.
This 3-4 hour boat excursion explores the land and water of Turks & Caicos. We tour the Princess Alexandra Nature Reserve and visit the indigenous Rock Iguanas. We study the coastal ecology of the area, looking for wildlife, birdlife and shells. Two or more snorkeling sites are also visited where we practice our snorkeling skills and learn about the beautiful marine life of TCI. Final stop is historical Fort George in seek of buried treasure. Older kids learn to ‘manta tow’ snorkel behind the boat and we may even visit an old shipwreck for a snorkel!
The Turks Treasure Hunt & MERMAID ENCOUNTER
Set sail with map in hand for a swashbuckling adventure at sea on this hunt for BURIED TREASURE! Search for the mystical Mermaid Bella and rise to her challenge to win secrets that lead across deserted islands and open oceans on the trail for pirate booty. A 3 hour fun filled one-of-a-kind experience for the whole family.
Sea Turtle Project
Join us for a 1/2 day educational ocean-based experience learning about sea turtles in TCI, and assisting with the tagging and releasing of green and hawksbill turtles. Our unique and experiential conservation program covers the marine biology of sea turtles and takes our guests on a boat and into the ocean where they assist our marine experts with the tagging and releasing of turtles, while snorkeling various sites along the way.
Private workshops are $1200 and limited to 6 persons. 25% of the proceeds from our PROJECT are donated towards the Sea Turtle Conservation Fund which will fund satellite tags and educational projects for sea turtles in Turks & Caicos.
The Wilderness Paddle
Way off the beaten path and in the Western wetlands of Provo we take you to a fascinating nature reserve where you are likely to be the only human visitor. In abundance, however, will be aquatic and birdlife within mangrove communities. We paddle through a large protected saltwater creek that opens up and connects to the Atlantic Ocean where you can glimpse West Caicos and explore an entirely different seascape. There are many paths and creeks from which to explore and paddle, a cliff jumping rock and pirate cave with 1600 C. rock etchings. Snorkels welcome. Pure wilderness meets true adventure.
Mangrove Madness Eco Adventure
A guided tour through the Princess Alexandria Nature Reserve with local marine ecologists. Learn about the magnificent mangroves and marine life of the area while encountering baby lemon sharks, birdlife, rays and more!
Chalk Sound Nature Reserve
Perfect for all paddling levels and true to its name, this ‘salt water lake’ is absolutely breathtaking in chalky blues and greens. Small uninhabited cays are scattered throughout, and its shallow depth and inland location serve to protect users from wind, currents and reef. This is an ideal place for kids and beginner paddlers as well because the water is never more than neck deep. Here you can trace the coastlines in search of birds, iguanas, sea turtles, juvenile fish, and explore small cays and mangrove communities.
Boogie Down to Bugaloos
A southside paddles across shallow turquoise waters and in mangroves followed by snacks at famed local hot spot, Bugaloo’s. Includes native conch demonstration, sample seafood platter (or non-fish alternative) and soft drink.
Glow Worm & Full Moon Ecotour
Experience the monthly mating ritual of the glow worms via paddleboard or kayak. 40 minutes after sunset, the glow worms display their ‘dance’ in the moving waters. Enjoy hot cocoa on the sea! Experienced paddlers only.
Depending on wind and tide we will travel one way with the wind at our backs and work on downwind paddling technique with our PaddleFit certified Pros. Designed for intermediate paddlers and up.
Learn paddleboarding basics with Level 3 PaddleFit ® coach. Then paddle through a National marine park & snorkel pristine reefs along the way!
“The Point” Paddle and Snorkel Adventure
In the Northwest Point National Marine Park you have a rocky rugged “iron shore” coastline mixed with white sand beaches and numerous coves that open up at low tide. Healthy scattered coral heads inside the reef make for excellent snorkeling along the way. Way off the beaten path.
Scattered coral reefs on the north shore in less than 20 feet water make this spot perfect for snorkeling and SUP. Look for sea turtles, eagle rays and a large variety of healthy corals and reef fish.
The “Island Tour”
Take a fun and educational exploratory tour of Provo. We tour kids to “the Hole”, Conch Farm, Chalk Sound National Park, and see pink Flamingoes in a secret spot. We visit the 300 year old plantation ruins where kids learn about the history of the Turks and Caicos Islands from a local guide and historian from the TCI National Trust. Last, we tour through the oldest settlement on Provo, Blue Hills, and stop for a native lunch at the famous Conch Shack. GREAT RAINY DAY ADVENTURE TOO! Lunch NOT included.
Southwest Bluff Adventure
This adventure takes kids to the Southwest point of the island, where we hike the remote pirate caves and re-discover the rock etchings from pirate ships of the 1600’s. Weather permitting we may offer cliff jumping (max 25 feet). Our adventure continues in search of Eagle rays and lobster with snorkeling around the bluff and in the pristine shallow waters of this unspoiled area. Picnic lunch.
“Iguana Island” Hop
Take a 5 minute boat ride to Little Water Cay to visit the indigenous Rock Iguana, home to over 10, 000 iguanas! Once there we take an educational boardwalk tour through the small island and a ride back through Princess Alexandra Nature Reserve. How many iguanas can you count? A shorter trip for little people.
