These hotels in paradise are great for all ages.

It’s no secret that the Turks and Caicos Islands are a fantastic Caribbean destination for the entire family. Beautiful beaches, calm, clear ocean, and incredible natural sites all within easy reach from the U.S. make it a simple choice for long weekend getaways or spring break vacations. The hotels here seem to have taken note. A growing number of resorts have built-in activities and programs to ensure that kids will never say “I’m bored.”

Beaches Turks & Caicos

Beaches was specifically designed with kids in mind, so it’s no wonder this property tops the charts for family- friendly hotels around the region. Not only is it situated on a prime spot of Grace Bay Beach, but this sprawling resort boasts a 45,000-square-foot water park—the only thing like it in the country—as well as 10 pools and four whirlpools. With 21 on-site restaurants, there’s something to please even the pickiest eater. And, there’s a never-ending array of activities and amenities to entertain kids of all ages. The little ones will love the Kids Camp, which is run by certified nannies, so you feel comfortable leaving them while you enjoy free scuba diving or just a nap by the pool. Tweens and teens are taken care of, too–there’s an Xbox Play Lounge and an age-appropriate night club. They even have the Caribbean’s first Certified Autism Centers.

The Somerset on Grace Bay

Check infinity pool, spa, and luxurious suites off your resort bucket list at The Somerset, and rest assured kids will also be in excellent care. The staff goes out of their way to make you and your kids feel at home. Kids fall in love with caretakers like Miss Sharon, who runs the midsize resort’s complimentary Caicos Kids Club for guests ages 5 to 12. They make crafts, participate in sandcastle competitions, hunt for treasure, and play beach games. There is also a weekly kid-friendly movie night on the lawn, so parents can have a romantic dinner for two.

Grace Bay Club

Sea views, multiple restaurants, a good location on Providenciales…there are many reasons to love Grace Bay Club. But there’s one good reason any type of traveler can be happy here: there are two pools; one is designated adults-only and the other is for families, so you don’t have to worry about kids making noise and splashing. Kids Town has two free options for kids up to age 12. They can hang out in the clubhouse or spend the day or evening participating in crafts, water sports, and cultural activities. The teenagers’ program offers some fantastic excursions (for an added cost) designed just for them, including wakeboarding, kayak and paddle-boarding, and island tours where they’ll paddle through mangroves and end up at Bugaloo’s in Five Cays for a conch demo and sampling, to name a few.

The Alexandra Resort

The Alexandra Resort, the most kid-friendly in the Turks and Caicos Collection of all-inclusive resorts, kicks the whole concept up a notch by allowing kids 12 and younger to stay and eat for free. Add to that an incredible spot on a wide stretch of Grace Bay, a massive pool, and lots of included water sports, and it’s a kids’

wonderland. If they need a break from the beach (or a parent needs spa time), the Fun Pals program keeps all ages, from tots to teens, entertained.

Sands at Grace Bay

Many resorts on Provo provide complimentary bikes for guests to use. Sands at Grace Bay is one of the few that includes kids’ bikes and helmets, too. You’ll have three different pools to choose from, including a small kiddie pool and one that has a cascading waterfall and grottoes. If the weather turns foul or you just need a break from the sun, grab one of the many board games at the front desk for an afternoon of friendly competition. And perhaps the most adorable thing on offer: the mom and daughter Little Mermaid spa package at the on-site Spa Tropique location, which includes manis and pedis for both and a hair braiding or wrapping for the little one.

The Palms

Enjoying the sunshine and fresh air on Grace Bay Beach draws visitors to this luxurious hotel—but The

Palms also happens to be great for kids. When parents want some alone time, they can check the kids into the Conch Kritters Club. They accept kids ages 4 to 12 for half- or full-day programs. On days when the weather outside is less than perfect, there’s a clubhouse for games and activities. Plus you can get family-friendly boxed lunches prepared for days you decide to explore the island.

7  OF 9

East Bay Resort, South Caicos

If you’re looking for a spot where the entire family can disconnect from technology and reconnect with

nature, East Bay Resort is it. While it’s the most family-friendly of the three hotels in South Caicos, don’t come expecting made-for-you entertainment and activities. Instead, there is an incredible beach that goes on for miles, a lovely pool, staff that will feel like old friends in no time at all, and it’s the kind of place you can feel comfortable letting the kids run free while you sit back and relax. Rooms have fully outfitted kitchens so you don’t have to dine out all the time, but the on-site restaurant will appeal to everyone in the family.

8  OF 9

There is also a playground on-site for resort guests, and there are always other kids to play with. They have one of the coolest nonmotorized water activities, an ocean trampoline. Washers and dryers in the suites make it easy to manage with a family on a longer stay, and there is a really well-stocked grocery store just across the street from the resort.
