James Beard Award-Winning Chef Tyson Cole’s Signature Japanese Cuisine Debuts at Grace Bay Club’s Oceanfront Infiniti Restaurant & Raw Bar

PROVIDENCIALES, Turks and Caicos Islands (April 19, 2023) – Grace Bay Resorts, an award-winning hospitality brand founded on one of the world’s most famous beaches, today announces a series of culinary pop-ups from Texas sushi institution Uchi. The takeovers begin this June at Grace Bay Club’s Infiniti Restaurant & Raw Bar, directly on the pristine white sands of Grace Bay Beach. The partnership completes a new collection of celebratory guest experiences to toast Grace Bay Resorts’ 30-year anniversary, a milestone that will culminate with an ultra-exclusive omakase dinner by Uchi this December.

From June 7-10 and December 6-9, Grace Bay Club’s oceanfront Infiniti Restaurant & Raw Bar will offer guests and visitors exclusive access to a custom menu curated by Uchi featuring signature tastings, sushi and seasonal omakase. Topped only by the exceptional views of the island’s famous turquoise waters, the elevated non-traditional Japanese menu will be served at the Caribbean’s longest bar, stretching 90 feet toward the crystal blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Uchi’s most popular menu items will be on offer alongside new destination-inspired delicacies that complement Infiniti’s jaw-dropping setting, including sweet petite oysters, kaluga hybrid caviar, green curry conch fritters, A5 striploin and a premium variety of nigiri and sashimi ranging from Japanese sea bream to New Zealand king salmon – all expertly paired with Infiniti’s comprehensive Wine Spectator-award winning wine list.

“Over the past several years, Executive Chef Frank Castleton has led the culinary offerings at Grace Bay Club and this year has set the bar higher than ever at Infiniti Restaurant & Raw Bar for our 30th anniversary year,” said Nikheel Advani, COO and Principal, Grace Bay Resorts. “By joining forces with Chef Tyson Cole – one of the few American sushi masters – we are thrilled and humbled to offer an immersive and unique culinary experience that has never been done before in the Caribbean.”

Grace Bay Club’s Infiniti Restaurant & Raw Bar is one of the Caribbean’s most coveted sundown destinations with a prime spot on the world-famous Grace Bay Beach and a dramatic infinity-edge bar that seamlessly blends into the sunset. The recently refreshed hotspot offers nightly live music paired with a sexy ambiance that has been known to attract A-list celebrities and jetsetters alike. Uchi will return for a second takeover at Infiniti from December 6-9, during which time a limited run of 10-course omakase dinners will be held at one of the brand’s stunning Private Villa Collection.

“It’s always exciting to bring a taste of Uchi and Loro to new markets, especially when it’s at a place like Grace Bay Resort on the beautiful Turks and Caicos Islands,” said Chef Tyson Cole. “The team is stoked to create an omakase experience like no other and use local Caribbean ingredients with our non-traditional approach to Japanese cuisine. It’s going to be incredible.”

With the island’s top-rated dining destinations in its portfolio, Grace Bay Resorts is ringing in 30 with a dedicated culinary lineup worth traveling for. In addition to the brand’s collaboration with Uchi, Grace Bay Resorts invites guests to attend its most over-the-top Caribbean Food & Wine Festival to date honoring 30 years of culinary excellence from October 11-16.
