Our Commitment to Sustainability

At Grace Bay Resorts, we are dedicated to preserving the natural beauty of our surroundings and ensuring the longevity of our environment. Our sustainability initiatives are designed to make a positive impact on both our local community and the planet.

Water Conservation

We are proud to recycle all our greywater for irrigation purposes. This initiative enables us to recover over 115,000 gallons of water across all our properties daily, which equates to approximately 45,000-60,000 gallons per day at Grace Bay Club alone.

Efforts to Remove Single-Use Plastics

In our pursuit of reducing plastic waste, we work diligently to eliminate single-use plastics from all our operations.

Filtered Water Stations

We have conveniently placed refill stations with cold, filtered water around our property for your use.

Thoughtful Landscaping**

Our landscaping prioritizes native plants and trees which minimizes irrigation needs and creates important habitats for local wildlife such as birds, butterflies, and lizards.

Sustainable Practices (Implemented & Upcoming)

Already Implemented

At Grace Bay Resorts, we are dedicated to preserving the natural beauty of our surroundings and ensuring the longevity of our environment. Our sustainability initiatives are designed to make a positive impact on both our local community and the planet.

Plastic-Free Water Bottles

We have removed all single-use plastic water bottles from our properties. Upon arrival, you'll receive a 100% aluminum refillable water bottle which is locally recyclable. This initiative alone helps us eliminate almost 3 tonnes of plastic from going to landfills annually or approximately 280,000 plastic water bottles each year.

Canned Water Partnership

In collaboration with our local water company, we offer canned water to further eliminate plastic water bottles altogether.

Our Future Commitments

Locally Sourced Bottled Water

Our partnership with a local water company ensures that all in-house bottled water is sourced locally. This helps us reduce our carbon emissions associated with transportation. The bottles are collected daily, sanitized, and refilled by TC Crystal, eliminating waste.

Info Tracking and Sharing

We have partnered with Greenview to report and track our sustainability progress beginning in 2025. Our goal is to align with the Global Sustainable Tourism Council’s criteria for sustainable hotels.

Local Flora and Fauna

During your stay, you may encounter various species of local flora and fauna around our property, these will be identifiable throughout the various resorts in 2025. Some of the wildlife you might see includes:

  • Brown Pelican, the national bird of the Turks and Caicos Islands
  • Turks and Caicos Curly Tailed Lizard, which is native to the Turks and Caicos Islands
  • Great Egret

Tips for Interacting with Wildlife

  • Please do not feed wild animals.
  • Admire wildlife from a distance to ensure their safety and yours.
By following these tips, you help us promote a sustainable and respectful interaction with our environment.

We are constantly evolving our practices to enhance sustainability and encourage our guests to join us in making a positive impact. Thank you for supporting Grace Bay Resorts in our green initiatives.
